To anyone with any legal knowledge…

What would it take to sue Rebecca Sugar and Cartoon Network? I may want to put something together…

It would take something you could actually sue for.

~Lily

First of all, Lily Orchard reblogged my post! Amazing!

Second, there’s substantial proof that Rebecca Sugar and Cartoon Network have been using fan content for their own gain. Things like stealing fanart and using fan theories for their story.

Isn’t this the same fucking guy in reddit who asked if they can sue the show for being off-model a while back

shis is up there with that DeviantArt user that wanted to Sue Disney for The Tinkerbell movie because they happened to draw fairies that looked vaguely like some characters in the movie at some point.

Jackasses like this are the reason writers are forbidden from even glancing at fanfic of their own work, and were damn near the reason fanfic as a whole was banned.

Pro tip: if a fan theory “becomes” canon? That means the fan correctly guessed what was going to happen. It doesn’t mean the writers stole your work. And even if they did (they didn’t) they literally own the IP.

Fuck right off.

OP, having Lily Orchard reblog your post is not something you should be proud of.
