One character’s sister is actually a title character from the authors other works.
If you like analyzing stories, theres a lot to be found within the characters, and if you don’t on the surface there’s a dark story of different peoples ideology’s clashing with a main character who just wants to not be a burden to those he cares for.

Its without a doubt my guilty pleasure show. Characters based on classic authors with super powers fighting each other for stability in Yokohama, a boy learning to find family after being treated cruelly, a detective with a shady past who’s too smart for his own good.
Its a bit disheartening when the suicide jokes turn people away from it because while insensitive its something the real person dealt with. There’s a lot of subtle references to the authors other books and their lives.
